Armed security guard for retail cannabis store

Howe Security is seeking a professional, dependable Armed Security Officer to provide on-site security for a licensed retail cannabis facility in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities: • Maintain a professional armed security presence at the retail facility. • Monitor entrances, exits, customer areas, parking areas, and other designated locations. • Help control access to restricted and employee-only areas. • Observe customer and visitor activity and identify suspicious or unusual behavior. • Respond appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, or policy violations. • Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols. • Monitor surveillance systems when assigned. • Assist store management with opening and closing security procedures. • Document incidents and prepare clear, accurate security reports. • Communicate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary. • Follow all Howe Security, client, and applicable state security procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous security, military, corrections, or law enforcement experience preferred.
  Current Illinois security and firearm credentials required, as applicable to the position.
  Ability to remain alert and professional throughout the assigned shift.
  Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  Sound judgment and ability to respond calmly under pressure.
  Dependable transportation and consistent attendance.
  Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
  Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment screening.
